New Door

At the beginning of July we installed a door between the kitchen and sun-room. In the summer time it gets very hot in the sun-room. So by installing a door we were able to keep the heat in there without exhausting the air conditioner.

Odds and Ends

I should keep this blog better updated so that I'm not posting pictures from July in September!
One evening we were invited over to Mr. & Mrs. F's home. Here they are with JuneBug.

The week before the Free Church Conference a few of us Vernons took some friends and went shopping at the mall. The only pictures I got were us riding the escalator because I was too busy trying on clothes. :D
Some people just don't like their picture taken.

Introducing our friends to taking pictures in the mall. Definitely a Morton-ish thing to do but it is fun!

We were getting a little crazy. Maybe N just didn't want to be seen publicly with us. :D

Trip Virginia: Part 2

After going to Stephen and Katie's we went to the Free Church Continuing Conference. I really only have pictures of JuneBug but you can check out The Reeder Bunch and Stefanie's Pleasant Places to get better coverage of the event. When you are done head to the FCC conference sermon headquarters to hear some great preaching.

One afternoon JuneBug stood on a suitcase so he could look in the mirror and comb his hair. (I couldn't get the camera to not flash so sorry for the glare)

I think JuneBug could have swung the whole conference.

Trip Virginia: Part 1

The weekend before the Free Church Conference my whole family met up at Stephen and Katie's. We crashed in on them late Friday night and left early Monday afternoon.

Katie got up on Saturday morning and made us all waffles.

A birthday gift for Junebug from Uncle Stephen and Aunt Katie

It kept him entertained throughout the weekend, especially on Sunday when everyone else was taking a nap.

Junebug never lacked for someone to read to him.

Playing on the monkey bars in the backyard.

On Saturday evening we all went over to a park near S and K's that had a walking trail. Along the route were stations to do calisthenics.

Junebug trying the balance beam.

It was a well maintained path and not too strenuous for a 7 month pregnant lady.

How many people does it take to help Junebug do a reverse crunch? Well, apparently more than 4 because right after the picture was taken he started to cry and ended up never doing one. :D

The adults trying out part of the course.

We didn't use every station exactly as we were supposed to but had lots of fun making up our own stuff.

Way to go Dad!

Finding a chin-up bar a little closer to his size.

After these pictures I didn't take any more until the conference, which will be posted soon. You can check (eventually) Katie's blog and SAM's blog for more coverage of the weekend.

Of Sandboxes, Blueberries, and Kittens

One of Junebug's birthday gifts was new sand for Grandpa and Grammy's sandbox. Yes, we are thankful the sand stays at their house instead of ours. Although, some does get carried home in his pockets.

All the children enjoyed playing with Junebug in the sand.

It all had to be sculptured just right to make...

This year we picked at least 7 gallons of blueberries to freeze and eat. We used frozen blueberries as a treat during potty training for Junebug and he liked them just as much as the chocolate chips.

~~~
It was cute to watch Junebug play with the kitten. He was surprisingly gentle with it.
~~~

For Junebug's birthday his Uncle and Aunt sent him a block set that can be used to make a barn. We set it up so he could put his John Deere tractors inside.
