Fourth of July Visit

Grandpa & Grandma G. came over the Fourth of July weekend. Friday we spent a good amount of time grocery shopping but we found time for some outdoor activities.

Grandma enjoyed an activity she doesn't find much time for...pulling weeds! I suppose if I were stuck in an office 5 long days a week I wouldn't mind doing it either. But I guess I just enjoy the "natural, wild-look" for the sidewalk. :)

Grandpa was the official picture-taker-of-all-things-cute, particularly JuneBug.

Here JuneBug is with another rock.

Daddy observes the proceedings

JuneBug doesn't want to wear his hat

Saturday we...
brought gifts of sweet corn, muskmelon, and hats...

visited the Vernons and...

they bit
and tickled...

our happy little JuneBug.

Later on
Grandma and JuneBug did some reading.

Then Grandpa pulled out this motorized train
We had to push him around since the battery wasn't charged

He likes it!

Then the oldest and youngest members of the household rested.
To finish off our wonderful fourth our extravagant, wonderfully festive, neighbors gave us a beautiful fireworks display. I was surprised I had captured so many great shots.

G&G had to return home on the Lord's Day morning and we got these snapped as we headed out the door.

Blueberry Picking

Last week we had the pleasure of going blueberry picking with some church folks. My s-i-l K took the pictures for me as I was busy trying to find some ripe berries. The bushes had been picked over fairly well so it took some time to gather the amount we needed. Afterwards we went down the road to our friend's property and had a picnic. We didn't get any pictures there, though. I think we were too hot and tired. But we all had fun and were blessed to be able to provide for our families.

K. thought this picture was the perfect "mothering" picture. Me holding a baby doll with JuneBug clinging to my skirt. :)

Say Please

At this link you can view the correct sign for please in sign language. In the video however, JuneBug wants to make sure we know he is saying please by rubbing from his neck to his belly button with both hands. :) We think it is cute.

JuneBug is 1!

At the beginning of June there was an early birthday cake and presents.
At the end of June there was some more birthday cake and presents...

Oh, and pin the nose on the clown game...

Mr. G & Miss C's Wedding

We didn't get many pictures and when I sit down to blog I realize how many I didn't get! The sistwerps also attended with their fancy camera so perhaps they can post they ones they got, if they have time. Sorry if they are blurry. We were afraid to use the flash. Many thanks to the youngest sistwerp who managed to capture a few for us.
Here we are as guests. This was Junebug's first wedding. He did very well despite the fact that it was his nap time.

This was one of the best parts of the wedding. Where, with her father's blessing the bride is given to the groom, her new head.

In the above pictures Pastor was giving their last sermon as singles, they are saying their oaths, and Mr. G is leaning in for their very first kiss. The first kiss was another of my favorite parts of the ceremony.
